Open-source component preview engine for coding agents and VS Code. Arguseye renders real React (including React Router and Remix), browser-renderable Next.js, Vue 3 and Nuxt, Svelte 5 and SvelteKit, Preact and Solid components straight from source, using the project's own installed packages, discovered call-site props, layouts and theme. No dev server and no stories. Each render returns a cropped PNG, accessibility text and structured evidence (unresolved inputs, warnings, errors), so an agent can see what it just built, edit it, and compare the result against a saved baseline. It ships as an npm package with an MCP server, a one-command installer for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, Windsurf, Antigravity and Copilot, a Claude Code plugin, and a VS Code Marketplace extension with a live preview panel. Native template previews (Django, Jinja2, Handlebars, EJS, Pug, Nunjucks and more) run through the project's own engines.
Highlights
- One render_component call finds a component's real usage and props, wraps it in the app's layouts and theme, bundles once and renders in Chromium
- Warm renders of the benchmark React fixture measured p95 50 ms; baselines record browser and platform identity so pixel diffs stay trustworthy
- Focused DOM, font and source inspection plus axe-core accessibility checks, returned as structured evidence an agent can act on
- Published on npm (@ayushniroula/arguseye) and the VS Code Marketplace, with installers for eight agent clients
